Crime Fiction Novels + Criminal Justice Studies & News

Jack Johnson as a character was born during my seminar in crime fiction class while at CCU in 2017. From there, he became a series centered around studying rationalization and redemption. In 2021, this mystery series is how I was able to cope with and process a traumatic loss in my life. Now, I want to use Jack Johnson to be able to inform people about the flaws in our current criminal justice system as well as how the system could work.
I’ll be serializing my novels here as I get my MS in Criminal Justice and eventually my MLitt in Creative Writing.

I’ve been directly affected by the current criminal justice system, and I’ve learned that my story is not an anomaly. As well as fiction and essays, I’ll be posting news stories about criminal justice here.
